My Recommended Start Up Kit

I am going to assume that you can drive and have transport!

If not..it isn't the end of the world..but obviously if you can drive then you can build your business options quicker.

This is the kit I started off with:

2 Buckets

2 Mops

1 Henry Hoover

Bleach

Washing Up Liquid

Cloths

Green Scrubbers

Black Plastic Bags

Disposable Paper Towel

Now I will tell you why you need this kit

Why 2 buckets and 2 mops?

Well...1 you must keep for kitchen use only..idealy coloured BLUE and put a blue mop with this and keep it for kitchen use only.

With the other use it for bathroom,  wash room and any other highly travelled areas and use a RED bucket and red mop.

It is essential you understand this as cross contamination is very serious..and once you get this essential fact into your mind..you will know more than 99% of the cleaners out there..giving you a great head start when you are pitching for cleaning jobs..people get very impressed by this fact.

In my story about how I started I mentioned the Girl who trained me several years ago she used to clean the bathrooms first...and the kitchen last...with the same water, bucket...or most horribly..the cloths!

Yes, that's right...the SAME cloth she had used to wipe the toilet bowls..and urinals..she simply rinsed it out..then cleaned the food preparation services in the kitchen!!!!

Horrendous,

Now I know because you are reading this..You won't do that because apart from it being a truly terrible working practice..it is also illegal.
If anybody got ill or worse..that person would be accountable and her company....so you have been warned.

Bleach..just normal run of the mill bleach is what I got started with.
I diluted the bleach with a 10 parts water to one part bleach and that was more than capable of cleaning toilets effectively.

Later I used an industrial product similar to this as it was cheaper to buy in bulk..but you really don't need to. Find a product you like and stick with it..it is easier in the long run.

I use spray bottle. I make up the solution at home and off to work you go. easy.

The same is true of washing up liquid..you can get 2 large bottles of great washing up liquid from Iceland stores in the UK for just £1!! this usually lasts me 2-3 weeks!

Cloths, Green Scrubbers and Black Plastic bags

Make sure you get good quality re-usable cloths that you use for kitchens/food areas that can be washed at home and get cheap disposable cloths for washrooms and toilets..discard them EVERY day after use.

Green Scrubbers

Superb for kitchens and bathrooms alike...again..get different colours..they come in all kinds of colours...Green for the kitchen and any other colour for the bathroom...again DON'T MIX Them up

Black bags you can get from pretty much any super market or DIY store for discarding your old cloths and paper towelling

A cleaning caddy to put your products in.
I have 2...one for the kitchen..and one for the washrooms!

And there you have it!
The absolute minimum kit
